Karolinska Institutet, Dept. of Oncology-Pathology, Lewensohn/Viktorsson

At the Department of Oncology-Pathology basic, translational and clinical research and educational activities related to cancer is carried out. Approximately 300 people from over 40 nations are currently working at the department. 37 research groups with various cancer research profiles are involved and we have around 120 PhD students. The Department of Oncology-Pathology is responsible for undergraduate courses in Pathology, Oncology and Forensic Medicine for medical students, as well as for Tumor biology courses for biomedicine students and Pathology courses for opticians.

Research Group
A limited (12 months) postdoc position is available in the research group of Professor Rolf Lewensohn and Dr. Kristina Viktorsson. For more information about the research activities in the group please visit the link: https://ki.se/en/onkpat/rolf-lewensohns-group

As postdoc in this project, you will be responsible for planning and practically conducting the in vivo xenograft studies. You will also work with cell-and molecular biology methods to explore treatment responses in lung cancer cell lines in vitro and in xenografts focusing on growth receptor and/or DNA damaging signaling in conjunction with radiotherapy.

Qualifications of the applicant
