Research Assistant
The division for Biomaterials at the department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics is a constellation of 4 groups of about 30 people working in diverse areas. The research at the division focuses on developing new methods and molecular tools for biological research using novel materials and bioengineering. Examples include peptide decorated polymer scaffolds, DNA origami and microfluidic devices. The questions we focus on are cell-signalling and tissue development and regeneration. We are currently looking for supporting personnel to continue to develop the division.

Duties
The duities include assisting the work in the division both in the lab and in administrative tasks. These taks include but are not limited to: taking care of chemical inventory, making sure lab safety is adhered to in the division, assisting work in the lab, organizing inventory and data on lab materials (for example plasmids and DNA libraries), keeping track of some purchases deliveries and invoicing, assisting with administrative tasks, organization of visits and events.

Qualifications
Basic knowledge and experience of experimental life-science research is meriting. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an appropriate field. Applicants should be able to take initiative on their own to best support the research and have collaborative and social skills as well as being a rigorous co-worker. Applicants should have good knowledge in English both in writing and oral. Some proficiency in Swedish is meriting but not a firm requirement.
